We took our young adults to Arad, Romania to share an institute class and dinner with our Romanian friends across the border. That's the back of my head and Andrea was taking the picture.
Szeged had a Meat and Brandy festival this month. We just passed through to have a look and thought this man-powered toddler ride was interesting.
Of further interest is this video which shows what happens when Hungarians mix Meat and Brandy!
Here is Andrea with a local Griffin.I got to be King Benjamin for the Békescsaba Primary.
Here are my subjects in their tents. (It's a pretty small Primary.)
Andrea just loved holding these newborn kittens.
We did a Western night in another city in our Zone and once again taught competitive seed spitting.
Trivia question: What do the Japanesse and the Hungarians have in common? You may not have known this, we certainly didn't before coming here, but Hungarians remove their shoes when visiting someone's house.
We hosted our Zone's missionaries at another super P-day this month. They all went out to do a ropes course and go whipping. 'Whipping?' you ask. Yes, I will demonstrate in the video below.
It is an almost universal activity for Hungarian missionaries to go out and crack whips on their P-day. Most of them get to be very good. Much better than me but, hey, I'm just starting!
They finished the ropes course on this cool zip line.
The Relief Society Birthday celebration was held in our apartment. Having something like this at a location other than the branch house was kind of a new experience for them.
A good time was had by all, except for me. Not being a member of the R.S. , I was banished to a nearby park.
For our anniversary, we went to a Mexican Restaurant here in Szeged. Believe me, Mexican food is just not the same when you get it in Hungary. Oh well, the place was cool.
In Hungary, the missionaries call this Table-ing. Sister Adams and I haven't really joined in on this pursuit, other than helping the young missionaries set up, but we do go flyer-ing on a regular basis.
These are Andrea's Happy Anniversary flowers, and a card from a best friend.
Szeged was blessed with two baptisms in March! (at a Seventh-Day Adventist Church)
We missionaries shared a monster meal prepared by our good friend Géza who actually feeds the missionaries his monster meal at the end of every transfer.
Andrea and I went to West Side Story, performed in Hungarian of course.
It was held in our city's Opera House like Theater. Really very nice.
